10 day Portugal trip to Lisbon, Porto & Douro Valley – 2023
Overview
Spend 10 days exploring the wonders of Portugal. From Lisbon, the largest city in Portugal to the Theย Douroย Wine Regionย Valley - you'll be in for an unforgettable adventure!
We will spend the first few days exploring Lisbon and some of the most popular sites like the Pena palace and Saint George's Castle. We'll check out some amazing cuisine, the dynamic night life and all that Lisbon has to offer.
The second half of our trip we will take the train to Porto, a coastal city known for its port wine production. You'll get the chance to explore the beautiful town before heading to our 5 star hotel in The Douro Valley, most known for its wine production! We will wine taste our way through the rest of the trip while basking in the unforgettable scenery.

Trip Plan
Day 1
Leave the US and head to Lisbon, Portugal!
Day 2
Your transportation will be waiting for you to arrive in Lisbon and take you to your 5 star hotel. You will then have time to get settled in and head to the welcome lunch that afternoon. After lunch you'll have time to relax and explore before our first group dinner.
Day 3
Today we will head off to explore Pena Palace, a Romanticist castle in Sรฃo Pedro de Penaferrim. You'll have plenty of time to explore the area before heading to Cabo de Roca, or Cape Roca is a cape which forms the westernmost point of the Sintra Mountain Range.
There will be a group dinner later this evening.
Day 4
Today we will explore Saint George Castle, a historic castle in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon, located in the freguesia of Santa Maria Maior. The rest of the afternoon you'll have free time to explore before headingย to Mercado de Campo de Ourique for a early dinner before our sunset sail.

Day 6
It's time to head to Porto! We will hop the morning train and head off to Porto arriving there by lunchtime with time to explore. From Porto we will head to our 5 star hotel in Douro Valley in time for dinner.

Day 8
It's time to check out some of the Douro Valley's famous vineyards!
Day 9
Boat excursion through the Douro Valley with wine tasting and lunch!
Day 10
Farewell & leave for the US!
